how to use Twitter advanced filters

Twitter Advanced filters

A Twitter update rolling out today again gives users some additional tools in the form of Twitter advanced filters, With over 400 million users, Twitter is one of the largest social networks in the world. The app pulls too many trolls, bullies, and other hateful users. Twitter has previously been criticised in the past because the service would do little to protect its users.

You can find the top left by tapping your profile, and select Settings and privacy. Under ‘Notifications’ choose Finally Advanced filters. These advanced filters join the notifications filters Twitter introduced in March, as well as the quality filter it rolled out last August.Twitter also provided instructions for desktop, iOS and Android users who want to set up its advanced filters:

There you have the choice of filter options to users mute. For example, choose to always ignore all new users or users with the default profile picture. You can also allow users without a verified phone number or address be put on silent, or that you only see and receive messages from other users that you have decided to follow.

Note that if other users still put through the above options, they are not completely blocked. These users can still send messages, you will not only notifications about. They are not found automatically by the notifications in the app. You can, however, choose to block individual users, so they can not see your profile. A whole group of users instead of blocking filtering is however not in there.

Twitter for Android: Twitter can be found through the link in the Play Store. The app is free and works on almost any modern Android smartphone.
