The Sony Xperia 2017 smartphones get any successor
Sony was in 2016 in terms of smartphones no peak year. In a presentation to investors, the company showed the disappointing sales of its Xperia line. Sony’s flagship, the Xperia X Performance and Xperia XZ, it did quite well. Japan has achieved the sales target for the aircraft, while outside Japan but sixty percent of the planned number of units sold. The smartphones that Sony premium standard ‘calls, however, do a lot worse. The Xperia X and Xperia X Compact reached in Japan but 85 percent of the sales target. Outside Japan? Since the unit knew 31 percent of the targeted sales to be achieved. Therefore decides to stop this category Sony smartphone.
For 2017, there are two flags vessels in the pipeline: the XZ Premium and XZS. There will also be more midrange devices in the form of the XA1, XA1 Ultra, and L1. In between? So there’s nothing more. There is no follow-up to the Xperia and Xperia X X Compact.
This choice is not entirely surprising. In our Xperia X review were already unhappy about this unit. The Xperia X was in the same price range as for example the Samsung Galaxy S7, but that was not reflected in the specs.
The choice was therefore for consumers to be soon on another device. We were clearly more enamored of the smaller version as you in our Xperia X Compact review you read.
