The Huawei Mate 10 Pro camera is almost as good as the one in Pixel 2. This sets up DxOMark’s camera daughters.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro camera
Although Huawei in its promotional material for the Huawei Mate 10 Pro focuses on the chip with built-in artificial intelligence and the huge battery, the camera may be on the device. The camera players of DxOMark give the Mate 10 Pro camera a score of 97. That’s just a point lower than the renowned Pixel 2 camera that scores a 98.
The Pixel 2 has not been officially released in the Netherlands, but the device is available through gray imports. If you do not want to get started, the Mate 10 Pro is an option if photography is important to you.
The cameras in Huawei’s smartphones are usually fine. Weaknesses, however, are that the pictures are often blurred with little light and that the images do not always look color-oriented. According to DxO, the camera in the Mate 10 Pro is correct due to the good pictures made inside, but also in the light of the outside world. In addition, the camera is strong in autofocus so you can quickly take your snapshots.
DxO scores Feature
The DxO scores are an indication of how good a camera is. Although these cameratians clearly know what they’re talking about, it’s nevertheless important to see these scores skeptical. For example, DxOMark works with smartphone manufacturers to fine-tune hardware and software, which, according to DxO’s guidelines, gives the camera a high score.
