How to Root LG G7 ThinQ

Before you begin, it is important to have all the tools at hand. you will need:


ENABLE USB DEBUGGING 

1. Go to Settings> About phone> Software Info
2. Find Build number and press 8 times on it:

3. Return to the previous screen. You will see that a line has appeared: “Developers Options
4. Press and check “Enable OEM Unlock” & “USB Debugging”.


Root LG G7 ThinQ

1- Open the folder where ADB and Fastboot are located on your computer and Copy the root.img file on the ADB folder.

2- In an empty area, hold down the shift key and right-click with the mouse, the context menu will contain an entry Open command window here

3- Type “adb reboot bootloader” to reboot your LG Mobile in bootloader mode.

Unlock Bootloader of LG

4- to flash the root.img Type this two command:
  • fastboot flash boot_a root.img
  • fastboot flash boot_b root.img
5- Once the flash process completed Type “fastboot reboot” to reboot your device in normal mode.
6- Now Download & install the apk file “MagiskManager.apk”  on your device

7- You have successfully root your LG G7 ThinQ. you can now install a custom ROM or apps that require root…

Install TWRP Recovery on your LG G7 ThinQ

3- Type “adb reboot bootloader” to reboot your LG Mobile in bootloader mode.

5- Type “fastboot flash recovery Twrp_stock.img” to flash the recovery TWRP:
6-  Type “fastboot reboot” to reboot your device in normal mode.

7- You have successfully Installed TWRP on your LG V30.
