How to Install TWRP and Root Razer Phone

In this tutorial, we show you How to Install TWRP and Root Razer Phone, This manipulation should work on all versions of Yu devices, remember that this step will wipe everything off the phone, take a Backup of the messages, contacts, photos and all the important files that you don’t want to lose.

How to Install TWRP and Root Razer Phone:


Before you begin, it is important to have all the tools at hand. you will need:


ENABLE USB DEBUGGING 

1. Go to Settings ==> About Phone ==> Build number.

  • On Android 8.x, Go to Settings ==> System ==> About phone ==> Build number.

2. Find the Build number and press 8 times on it.

3. Return to the previous screen. Settings ==> Developers Options.
4. Press & check USB Debugging &  OEM unlocking.


Install TWRP Recovery on your Razer Phone

1- Open the folder where ADB and Fastboot are located on your computer & Copy TWRP Recovery file on the ADB folder.

2-Rename the TWRP Recovery file to TWRP.img

3- In an empty area, hold down the shift key and right-click with the mouse, the context menu will contain an entry Open command window here

4- To reboot your device in recovery mode Type:

  • adb Reboot bootloader

5- To unlock Razer Phone bootloader Type:
  • fastboot -i 0x1532 flashing unlock
  • Click on volume key to Confirm the unlocking on your phone.

6- reboot your device again in recovery mode by Type:

  • adb Reboot bootloader
7- To Check which slot is currently active Type:
  • fastboot getvar current-slot
8- To set unused slot, If slot A active then set B:
  • fastboot –set-active=_b
9- If slot B active then set A:
  • fastboot –set-active=_a

10- Reboot your device again in recovery mode by Type:

  • adb Reboot bootloader
11- Finally flash TWRP recovery type:
  • fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
6-  Then boot your device in TWRP Recovery Type:
  • fastboot boot TWRP.img

7- You have successfully Installed TWRP in your Razer Phone.


Root Razer Phone Via Magisk

1 – Copy the Magisk.zip file on your internal storage or SD card.

2- To reboot your device in recovery mode Type:

  • fastboot boot TWRP.img

3- Install and flash Magisk:

  • Choose “Install” in the TWRP recovery and then choose “Magisk.zip
  • Press the return key
  • Just press “Reboot” to restart the phone in normal mode.

4 – Now Download & install the apk file “MagiskManager.apk

5- Restart your device.

6- Now you have successfully rooted your Razer Phone.


Root Razer Phone Via SuperSU

1- Download  & Copy the SuperSU.Zip files on your internal storage or SD card.

2- To reboot your device in recovery mode Type:

  • fastboot boot TWRP.img

3- Clic Install and scroll down and choose Update superSU and swipe to confirm flash.

4- Once the installation is finished, click on “Reboot System” to reboot your phone.

5- That’s it ! you have successfully Root Razer Phone.
