iTunes error 3194

iTunes Error 3194 happens when trying to restoring or upgrade your iOS devices. the iTunes cannot communicate with Apple’s update servers.

How to Fix iTunes error 3194:

  1. update iTunes to the latest version
    • Open iTunes
    • Click on Help
    • From the drop-down menu, click on Check for Updates.
    • After a few seconds, iTunes will download and install the latest version if there is one.
  2. Check Network Connection & Security Software
  3. Try Another Computer
  4. Change Your Hosts Files
    • Quit iTunes.
    • Open your hosts file.
      • Windows: browse to system32\drivers\etc and open the hosts file.
      • Mac: launch the Terminal program, and type sudo nano /private/etc/hosts and click Return.
    • Find the host file entry for gs.apple.com.
    • Add # and then a space at the very beginning of the gs.apple.com line.
    • Save the file (Control + O on a Mac).
    • Close the file.
    • Restart your computer.
    • Try restoring or updating your iOS device again.

iTunes error 9

This error appears if:

  • Interruption of USB connection due to damaged ports, faulty cable, etc.
  • Security software or firewall blocks access to Apple servers.
  • iPhone is in a jailbroken state.
  • Network settings are corrupted.

How to Fix iTunes error 9:

  1. Try Another USB cables & different computers
  2. update iTunes to the latest version
  3. Check the anti-virus or firewall on your computer to ensure the availability of iTunes.
  4. Delete Cookies, Caches & Histories on your IOS device
  5. You can erase all content on your device

iTunes error 4013

The error comes up when iTunes doesn’t validate some sort of hardware.

How to Fix iTunes error 4013:

  1. Check USB Cable & Port
  2. Try Another USB cables & different computers
  3. update iTunes to the latest version
  4. Force Restart your iPhone
  5. Restart your iPhone to Recovery Mode:
    • iPhone X, iPhone 8, or iPhone 8 Plus:
      • Press & release the Volume Up button quickly.
      • Press & release the Volume Down button quickly.
      • Then, press & hold the Side button until the recovery mode screen Appears.
        iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus:

        • Press & hold the Side button & Volume Down button at the same time.
        • Keep holding them until the recovery mode screen Appears.
          iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch:

          • Press & hold both the Home button and the Side button at the same time.
          • Keep holding them until the recovery mode screen Appears.
  6. Check Wi-Fi Network & Restart the Wi-Fi Router
  7. reset Network Settings
    • in your iPhone Go to menu == Settings == General.
    • Next, Tap Reset == Reset Network Settings.
    • Enter the passcode & tap Reset Network Settings.

iTunes error 14

This error appears when you try restore or upgrade your iOS device via iTunes

How to Fix iTunes error 14:

  1. Try Another USB cables & different computers
  2. Hard reset your IOS device
  3. Delete Downloaded Firmware Files & Redownloading Again
    • Windows 10/8/7:
      iPhone: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
      iPad: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPad Software Updates
    • Mac OS X:
      iPhone: /Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates
      iPad: /Library/iTunes/iPad Software Updates

iTunes error 3004

iTunes Error 3004 usually occurs when iTunes cannot get a response from the update server.

How to Fix iTunes error 3004:

  1. Deactivate or uninstall Antivirus firewall completely or temporarily.
  2. Edit Your Hosts Files
    • Windows 10/8/7:
      • Locate C:\\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
      • Open the hosts file with the Notepad
      • Find and delete all the lines that have .apple.com & Save it.
      • Reboot your computer and update your IOS device again.
    • Mac OS X:
      • Go to \etc\ and find the file that called Hosts
      • Copy that file and paste it on your desktop.
      • Open the file & find the line that has .apple.com & delete all the lines that have .apple.com & Save it.
      • Locate the \etc\ folder again and overwrite the hosts file that you just edited.
      • Reboot your computer and update your IOS device again.

iTunes error 1

iTunes restore error 1 happens when you try to restore your iOS device

How to Fix iTunes error 1:

  1. update iTunes to the latest version
  2. Disconnect any devices connected to your computer (cameras, printers, Drive…..)
  3. Deactivate or uninstall Antivirus firewall completely or temporarily.
  4. Update iOS device manually:
    • Download the latest version of the IOS update
    • Hold on Shift on Windows or Alt on Mac and click restore.
    • Select the official firmware you have downloaded manually and wait for the update to begin.
  5. Restart your iOS device into DFU Mode:
    • Open iTunes & Connect your iOS device to your computer.
    • Turn off your iOS device.
    • Hold the power button & home button at the same time for about 10 seconds.
    • Release the power button and keep holding the home button till iTunes notification pop up.
    • Click on update/restore to begin the process in DFU mode.
